With Mitch’s business knowledge, marketing expertise, experience solar staff & engineers, and professional installation team, he is now installing premium PV systems in the Southern California territory.

With over 27 years starting and operating Katzkin Leather Inc, Commerce California, Mitch Katz has an extensive background in Business and Manufacturing. Katzkin Leather (aftermarket leather interiors) started in 1983 and grew form a one-man show to 600 employees. Katzkin became the exclusive aftermarket supplier to Chrysler and Ford. In 2007 Mitch sold Katzkin and retired with his wife Eva Katz.
After 2 years of retirement, solar energy entered their lives. Mitch and Eva installed solar for their home in Thousand Oaks California. After interviewing 8 solar companies, they were so extremely impressed with the Solar Universe team and the Solar Process that they bought a large franchise which includes Southern California territories.

Gregg Brune joined Solar Universe as our Operations Manager in its infantry and is still with the company sharing in its success to this day. Gregg comes to us with 10 years of expert experience in Engineering and Architecture for Residential and Commercial buildings. Gregg is LEED AP and HERS Rater Certified; LEED for over 200 homes and HERS Rated over 400 Homes. Additionally, he is a Certified Energy Plans Examiner and is a member of the California Association of Building Energy Consultants. Gregg is in charge of your PV system design, structure analysis, engineering, working with Building & Safety to obtain permits and approvals, scheduling your install, and providing you with all the technical knowledge needed to understand how your custom PV system works.

Eren comes to Solar Universe with 4 years of solar experience. She is a no nonsense straight shooter and knows the in’s and out’s of the solar industry. Her solar background in Sales & Marketing, Human Resources, Accounting, and Administration makes her the perfect fit as our Office Manager. Eren ensures that all customer installs are flawless from start to finish and prepares all contracts, Rebate & Interconnection documents, and arranges payment schedules. In addition to working in the solar industry, Eren is leading by example and installing solar on her home in 2011 with Solar Universe! Eren knows that Referrals are 70% of the game and is the best compliment we could receive. Eren realizes this, so your solar install is her install!
