Solar Channel Sales Manager

Solar Universe is seeking a Channel Sales Manager to be responsible for advocating a residential solar financing product to a network of installers. The Channel Sales Manager will be responsible for the leadership, relationship management, leading sales/training seminars, coaching, developing best practices and mentoring of the installer sales force. In this capacity the Channel Sales Manager will:

  • Work with our network of solar installers, including the business operator, sales managers, sales reps, etc.
  • Assisting installers in setting monthly sales goals, track progress, and co-develop sales strategies
  • Occasionally visiting regional solar installers and meet with management and sales teams to discuss new product rollout, etc.
  • Monitoring and manage pipeline of business from solar installer accounts
  • Serving in a quality assurance capacity (monitor installer work quality, financial condition, etc.)

We are looking for an individual with at least 5-7 years of experience, but will consider less experienced candidates who have proven themselves within a program execution capacity. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for the solar energy industry and may have previously served in a partner relationship management role, or a sales rep role. The candidate will be expected to quickly establish and execute sales management programs and broader client relationship management strategies.

Channel Strategist & Advertising Manager

Solar Universe is seeking a data driven marketer to help drive our channel strategy development and our online advertising activities. The ideal candidate is passionate about marketing, a fast-learner, knows their way around excel, has experience with online advertising and has a demonstrated record of analytical problem solving. We need somebody that can jump in with both feet into our fast paced environment to drive our marketing metrics to help us build marketing dashboards and automated reports that will guide our marketing channel strategy as well as help execute a variety of our marketing and advertising programs. We are not looking for a specialist in just one area but somebody that can be a Swiss-army knife across marketing and help with strategy, execution, and analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and correlate data sources from all aspects of marketing to build and manage central dashboards for marketing decision making
  • Develop channel strategies and help in execution of various marketing programs including (but not limited to):
    • Website Analytics
    • SEO
    • PPC
    • Display
    • Email
    • Direct Mail
    • Print, TV, and Radio
    • Market Research
    • Canvassing
  • Analyze campaign performance, and derive actionable insights that drive scale and efficiency
  • Manage to aggressive growth targets and margin requirements
  • Work cross-functionally with Solar Universe vendors and franchise partners.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree (MBA preferred)
  • 2– 4 years of SEM or Display experience (preferably both)
  • Understanding of direct-response marketing
  • 3 -5 years of analytical work experience with excel or data related programs
  • Strong working knowledge of excel
    • Pivot Tables
    • Conditional Formatting
    • Array Formulas
    • Macros (preferred but not required)
  • Know statistical and other modeling techniques
  • Experience with marketing /advertising analytics data and metrics is preferred
  • Experience in online marketing is preferred
  • Experience with Sales Force is preferred

Senior PV Installer

Requirements:

  • Experience physically installing PV systems, familiarity with multiple mounting systems, and with multiple inverters and modules.
  • A history of installations and problem solving on many projects in various settings
  • Knowledge of safe practices/equipment.
  • Experience in sizing systems and matching systems to customers’ needs
  • Familiarity in combining PV materials to create systems
  • Solving design problems related to available space, available amperage, shade, ac tie-in issues, and price
  • System engineering
  • Layout and basic cad drawing.

Job Description:

You will be assisting in all levels of the development of our residential PV program. You will contribute to our training program, our product line, safety practices, sourcing of materials, and system design.You may not have background is all these areas but you must have hard PV experience. Having interest in PV and having attended several training classes is not enough.

Account Executive (Sales)

Qualifications:

  • Strong math and computer skills
  • Experience with solar electric installation, design, or sales
  • Experience performing financial calculations
  • Technical sales experience
  • Some understanding of general construction
  • Ability to read, understand, and edit electrical and structural plans
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience
  • Four-year college degree

Position Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Sales of residential and commercial solar electric systems
  • Prospecting for and qualifying leads
  • Conducting site surveys for potential customers, rough system design
  • Closing deals and signing contracts
  • Estimating and pricing systems with built in margins
  • Analysis of customers’ electrical usage
  • Negotiating contracts
  • Communicating with project manager regarding system design

Administrative

Desired Qualifications:

  • 4 years or Associates Degree
  • Proficient with MS Office suite – excel, word, outlook
  • Excellent customer service skills both on the phone and in email
  • Can multi-task in a fast moving environment
  • Highly organized and can manage projects
  • Some knowledge of the construction or solar industry a plus
